4 Healthy To-Do's This Summer
As many of you know, I've recently embarked on a health and wellness journey. I've truly never been this excited and motivated about my health before; I feel really good about the transition! I've sought out some healthy products and places to make the process a little easier, and I want to share them with you! Read on to discover 5 healthy to-do's you may not have known about.
1. Truce is my newfound love.
It's a local juice shop in Minneapolis, serving fresh squeezed juices packed full of organic, nutrient-rich veggies from local co-ops! Truce offers juices, juice cleanses, acai berry bowls, and salads! In other words, it's the perfect stop on your long and happy journey to health. AND, you can get Truce delivered through Postmates! So far, I've tried their charcoal lemonade (yup, charcoal) and almond butter bar (both delicious). Everything at Truce is raw, gluten free, dairy free, and vegan! Not to mention, their storefront is totally Instagrammable.
2. Happy Cow is an app.
It gives users an extensive list of healthy and/or vegetarian and vegan-friendly restaurants and stores in the area (or whatever area you're visiting.) Each listing comes with a description about what to expect at a given location. It helps hold me accountable to my diet, because I can no longer use going out as an excuse to eat poorly!
3. Truly is guilt-free alcohol.
Yup, it exists. With two family reunions and a number of other summer gatherings coming up, I'm so happy to have been introduced to Truly Spiked & Sparkling by one of my best friends (who happens to be a nutritionist, so you know this is legit). Truly Spiked & Sparkling is a refreshing and fruity alcoholic beverage with only 2 g. of carbs and 100 calories per bottle!
4. PB2 is healthier peanut butter!
If you're a peanut butter lover and you haven't heard of PB2, stop what you're doing right now and go buy some! PB2 is powdered peanut butter, made up of only three ingredients: roasted peanuts, sugar, and salt, and therefore contains 85% less fat and calories than traditional peanut butter. What I love most about PB2 is how long it lasts, and how many servings I get out of just one jar. It's also available in chocolate, for all you Nutella lovers out there. Gotta love healthy alternatives!
