Books, Binges & Blogs: February 2018 Edition
Nothing like waiting until the last day of the month to publish new content!
What can I say? I thrive on a deadline. Below, find the books, blogs, and shows I've been tuning into this month.
I picked up this book after seeing it on a Business Insider list: Novels Bill Gates Thinks Everyone Should Read. It's the story of a surfing accident that leads to a young man donating his heart, and it takes place over the 24 hours surrounding the transplant. In just over a week, I'm hosting book club at my apartment, and we'll be discussing The Heart.
One Day At A Time
One Day At A Time is a remake of a classic fave. It's now a lighthearted Netflix Original sitcom about a Cuban-American family: A single mom who recently returned from Afghanistan navigates the difficulties that come with parenthood, and the kids do their best not to kill each other. The grandmother—played by Rita Moreno—is incredible, too.
How To Get Away With Murder
It's back! I blew through all episodes of HTGAWM pretty quickly and then waited impatiently for its return on January 18. Now that it's back, I'm hooked all over again (although season 4, the current season, is my least favorite so far). Never seen it? Catch up on recent episodes here.
Thanks for tuning in! Here's hoping I'll get March's picks up quick!
