GOAL

Yoga therapist Meghan Foley needed a brand identity—everything from logo and color palette to typography and photo direction, and a crash course in on-page SEO.

We met to discuss her branding goals, what she wanted to see in a logo and color palette, and what challenges she was facing generating leads online—specifically through Instagram.

PROCESS

I helped Meghan rebrand her yoga therapy business through the following processes:

BRAND QUESTIONNAIRE · KEY MESSAGING & TONE OF VOICE ·
MOODBOARD & COLOR PALETTE · TYPOGRAPHY & LOGO DESIGN ·
SEO 101 · NEW BRAND EXECUTION ACROSS ALL COLLATERAL

BRAND VALUES & TONE OF VOICE

TONE OF VOICE

Honest, trustworthy, understanding and kind, Meghan talks about her brand online the same way she’d talk about it with her friends.

Here to answer your questions and help you live your healthiest life, Meghan’s branding is informative, knowledgeable, inspiring and sometimes funny.

MOODBOARD DEVELOPMENT

I knew from our branding interview that Meghan wanted her brand to feel approachable, trustworthy, and informative. She sent me the photo pictured top and center in both of the moodboards below as inspiration. I pulled colors from the photo to create each board.

Meghan liked Moodboard 2 and requested the addition of sunflowers and a splash of gold.

Moodboard 2 won again. With the color palette decided, I moved into logo design.

PHASE TWO

CALL IN THE DESIGNER

As a copywriter, my design skills only extend so far. Meghan liked Concept 6 above, but wanted a couple of tweaks — including a custom font to mimic the one used at lora hotel. We worked with Cathylynne to design a custom font and a more polished version of a logo for Meghan.

THE FINAL PRODUCT

Meghan’s new logo, color palette, and brand messaging will be rolled out across her website, Facebook and Instagram profiles, and all print collateral. I’m excited to see it out in the world!

FINAL THOUGHTS

Helping business owners tell their story, develop consistency online and in-person, and communicate with customers in a visually appealing way is as good as it gets in this biz.

I was so excited to work with Meghan and help her bring the vision she had for her brand to life. As my friend, teacher, and my own yoga therapist, Meghan is someone I know, trust, and respect. I stand behind her business, which is what made branding it such a breeze.

RESULTS

With a new logo, color palette, updated website, and knowledge of SEO and social media best practices, Meghan is poised to grow her clientele in Minneapolis, Minnesota and beyond.
